Mucus Issues  (Read 166 times)

Hi, this is a relatively minor thing (well I hope so anyway)

For the last 8 years or so I always bring up mucus, not sure where exactly its coming from but it comes up into my mouth.

When does it happen?:

Throughout the day, especially in the morning, but not so much during the day.

What does it look like?:

It can be red, green, or clear, sometime even black (but think this is just really dark blood), it is mainly clear, then quite often green then now and again red.

Any other Symptoms?

No nothing, I am totally well as far as I am aware other than this mucus thing, I do suffer from stress though.

I am pretty sure this cannot be normal, no-one else here has this or a similar problem do they?

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks.

I get a lot of mucus in the morning as well, usually either clear or yellow. The way I understand it, the mucus is either coming up from your lungs, or coming down from your nasal cavity. Do you have any problems with your nose or sinuses like congestion, allergies, deviated septum, sinus infection? it's very likely coming from your nose as mucus from the lungs would probably be associated with more serious breathing-related issues.
