I have been told what it is not. I have been told it is "all in my head" I have been doped up on Vicoden and Percosets.
I have been poked and proded. I have seen doctors, specialists and a surgeon. What I havent been is diagnosed.
Began early this year. I started feeling like i was carrying around rocks in my lower ab. Also had nausea and dizziness. Normal periods.
Went to my obgyn. Had an u/s since "we " knew I had/have fibroids. It was the reason I had a medical c sect with my daughter nealy 9 years ago. Got u/s results back. Up fibroids. But those shouldbnt be causing this feeling. yada yada. Come back if anythign changes.
Come july there was a change. I felt what I thought was a bruise on my left hip area. No bruise. I was limping. Then crying it hurt so badly. Work was not supprtive at all... they even went so far to demand that I give them my personal medical records since they didnt beleive me hat I was in so much pain. Went and saw obgyn. another us showed that the fibroids had grown substanially over the few months. Sent to have an MRI. reseults sent to a specialist in fibroid embolization. Waited weeks to see him. Saw him and was told "These cant be causing your pain" GREAT. See your PCP. Lefft there and went to see PCP. got in that same day. She sent me o gastro. Who took my pic.For thr records. Scheduled colonoscopy snext week. Also had CT scan scheduled by PCP office.
Colonscopy comes back clear. Gastro doctor tells me it is in my head. I nearly slapped him of his chair.
Ct scan is easy. Told my PCP would get results in few days.. So I wait and wait and wait. In that time my employer "fires me" then changes their tune when they realize they didnt give me all papaperworkj. I get short term disabilty papaer work and am told need it back within 4 days. I bring it to my PCP office. Get that back a day before it is due and email it to my employer to send to the short term insurance peopel. Looking over hte notes on the paperwork I see "CT SCAN ::: CLEAR"
Great another test CLEAR! Grrrr
Fast forward,, still in pain. Maybe adheasions? Nope Gyn sauys no. New Gyn in Boston... see her for 40 fee. "Hernia" Seea GS. Call for a GS appt. 3 weeks. I AM STILL IN PAIN.
Pain it hitting11 out of 10 scale. Husband calls 911 ambulance takes me to er.. where they take a xray(first time for that since this began) They see nothgin. Get another Rx for more percosets and sent home.
Yup dope me up and send me on my way. Super. No closer to diagnosis. So I had my husband drive me to the PCP office. Get a GS appt for the next morning.
FINALLY!! I know this doctor. Saw him a few years ago for cysts on my legs that were becoming bothersome.
He takes out his IPad.. brings up results. I say Everything has come back clear. He looks at me funny and pulls up CT SCAN. Not clear.
I have a cyst on my spleen and a gallstone. but those are not causing lower ab symtpoms. Now a burning feeling that is comstant.
He put me on 800 mg doses of Motrin and on neutrin(sp) to see if the pain changes. It has
No longer the burning constant pain.. after less than a week! It is now the original pain again.. but more! Pain is now up entire left side. Some lower right. Heart burn is awful no matter what I eat. Have been staying away from fatty foods.
Calling him Wednesday to report.. per his request.
However i am pissed that my PCP stated that the CT scan results were clear when fillig out the insurance forms. And that she or her office never called me to tell me that I have those issues!!!! I mean come on. I have one of the best insurance coverages in the state! They are gonna get their money I am not unisured and yet they dont inform me??
Wlill update when I get more answers or what ever.
I also left the job that was so awful. Wasnt worrth delaing with that crap any longer.
sorry for the typing etc. ia m usually much better.. but the pain is horrible and I am beat.
