Just want the pain to go AWAY!!!  (Read 814 times)

So for the past 2 year I have had a barrage of different symptoms and seem to get more and more of them. It started out 2 years ago with excruciating lower back pain, now I had a VERY rough/difficult pregnancy with my daughter but this pain felt WAY worse than my traumatizing labor and delivery experience.

At the time I was a house keeper for a local hotel down the street from where I live so I was making beds/bunkbeds all day long and was bending over quite often. After a few months I started getting pain in my lower back that was so bad that I would hunch over and fall to the floor crying and some days couldn't get out of bed. I started seeing my PCP who is very awesome and has worked with me since day one.

My PCP sent me to have x-rays on my back but everything came back normal. A few months later my ankles started to get severely swollen and there was a lot of pain when I walked (and I used to walk everywhere. Walking was my stress relief) so one night I decided I could no longer take the pain so I checked myself into the.E.R. they took a couple of x-rays of my foot/ankle which brings us to my FIRST diagnosis, I had achilles tendonitis and a heel spur. I wore my boot for the allotted time and after I followed up with my podiatrist I felt better.

Not too long after getting my boot off I got pregnant again. Though I was only 6 weeks pregnant I started to have severe abdominal pain that was so bad that I couldn't sit down and the slightest movement hurt. I had an ultrasound to verify that it wasn't eptopic and was told to go home and rest. The following week the pain had gotten worse so my PCP ordered a transvaginal ultrasound which showed a cyst the size of a tennis ball. I asked my obgyn to go in and drain it because it was causing me so much pain, he refused and told me that it will slowly start to drain. I was still having pain at 9 weeks that was WAY WORSE than my first pregnancy and had to quit both of my jobs, I had an ultrasound on june 1st and the fetus measured at 9 weeks, I had another ultrasound SIX days later and the fetus was measuring 15 weeks!!!! In 6 days the fetus had nearly doubled in size. I could no longer handle the pain and that fact the the fetus had nearly doubled in size in 6 days so for my health I terminated the pregnancy (please don't judge me too harshly).

In November of 2010 I ended up getting a really bad sore throat. I waited 2 weeks to see if it would subside but it got worse so I went to the walk in clinic since it was after hours. The moron doctor there looked at me and felt my enlarged lymph nodes and diagnosed me with lymphodentitis(sp?) and told me to take 2400mg of ibuprofen for 2 weeks, so I did. after about a week and a half it got so bad that I couldn't swallow the pills or drink/eat anything so once again I was off to the E.R. where I was immediately tested for strep throat. They also did a blood draw. It turned out that I had untreated strep throat for a month and mono. I was prescribed penicillin.

A couple months later I started getting lumps on my rib cage that were VERY painful for the first 3 weeks then the pain went away, unless I slept on my stomach. My PCP was very concerned so she sent me to a general surgeon who said that they were lipomas. I had a total of 4 lumps and only 2 were removed.

Over the next few months I started rapidly gaining weight, I went from 140 to 211 pounds. My stomach had become VERY distended and hurts ALL THE TIME. I started getting new lumps on my body, on my wrists, my left inner elbow, behind my knees, my ankles, my soles of my feet and my neck. I saw a neurologist about the lumps on my wrists because my PCP thought it could be carpal tunnel. I had a nerve conduction test which was normal.

Next my doctor did blood work to see is the lumps were caused by lupus and if the sudden weight gain was my thyroid. The only abnormalities were high LDL chlostrol and a positive anti-RNP of 7.9 so she referred me to a theumatologist to be checked for rheumatoid arthritis and mixed connective tissue disease. The rheumatologist dismissed me and said I'm young and healthy, I was very upset at this point. I decided to see a different rheumatologist at the same clinic who was also very rude and unhelpful.

My PCP then referred me to a third rheumatologist who was AMAZING he listened to EVERYTHING I said. I told him I thought I had rheumatic fever from the undiagnosed strep throat and although he didn't think I had it he did an ASO titer anyway. While I was waiting for the ASO titer results I had my PCP refer me to an imaging clinic to have an ultrasound because of the severe pain in my pelvis which makes me look pregnant. I had the ultrasound and while I was waiting for those results the receptionist at the third rheumatologists office calls me (on a SUNDAY!!) and tells me that me ASO titer was nearly 600 and that I do infact have rheumatic fever. Then I get the results from my pelvic ultrasound showing that I have multiple cysts inside my right ovary and the largest one is 27mm I also have excess fluid in my pouch of douglas and was told that I need to have surgery since I have a history of ovarian cysts.

Great news right? I finally have a diagnosis, well I have been having new symptoms, a lump on my right pinky finger which is causing it to stray from the pack and away from the ulna and its very painful. I also have severe left chest pain which could be from the rheumatic fever but I don't get to see the cardiologist til September 14th, my periods have also been starting later and later every month, I sweat so much at night that I wake up soaked, I have petechai ALL over my upper arms and now I'm getting them on my legs and no one seems to be concerned about it.

I have a history of high blood pressure and ovarian cysts. I'm 25 but I feel like I'm 55. I am tired of feeling like s#$* and being home all day. I want to start feeling better and be able to either go back to work or back to college or both!!

- "My PCP sent me to have x-rays on my back but everything came back normal" =
I suppose you have disc herniation/protrusion in your spinal cord (or similar disorder, for example, spinal epidural lipomatosis, etc.). Usually such condition can not be noticed by xrays. Xrays is not informative method for disc issues examination. You should do MRI of the lumbar area with high resolution in order to detect any disc problems.
- Most of other your symptoms are connected with immune system and fat tissue (i.e. liquids in your body) abnormalities. It is very simple to conclude because of: "cyst ", "sore throat", "enlarged lymph nodes", "lumps", "lipomas", "gaining weight", "stomach had become VERY distended and hurts ALL THE TIME", "multiple cysts inside my right ovary", "I also have excess fluid", " sweat so much at night that I wake up soaked". I think almost all your diseases can be cured easily.
Wish you good health and good luck!

I had an MRI of my back done also and it was normal. I am going to ask for an MRI of my neck though.

Samantha, I just asked my doctor to do a CA-125 to check for ovarian cancer and to check my S protein to see if I have cirrhosis. I should get those results next week.

Hi Samantha!

- "Im very curious alltimatehelp, what is your profession"
= Actually my profession was related with modern science. I used to be a scientist in the past. I made scientific researches, managed a group of scientists, led many government's and commercial R&D projects, etc. But many years ago I had to concern with medical issues due to my undiagnosed illness. Since then I specialize in acupuncture & related fields and treat serious & chronic diseases (except cancer and mental disorders).

- "QUOTE "I think almost all your diseases can be cured easily"!" END QUOTE  HOW"
= Actually it doesn't matter "how", if you know exactly what is the cause and what to do. The different methods may be used to fix a health problem, for example, qigong, moxibustion, herbs, even chemical medications (in limited cases), etc., because a principle of the treatment is the same. But I prefer to use acupuncture for treatment due to its universality, high-effectiveness, simplicity and availability. Besides, acupuncture allows to treat such conditions that many other means can not treat at all, for example, when disease was caused by opposed/antagonistic energies (very often the modern conventional medicine defines such kind of diseases as "incurable" although it could be cured easily by acupuncture means).
Usually before the treatment I give my prognosis (estimation) about success of the treatment and say what presumedly can be fixed. Unfortunately, I can not treat any disease for any person, but in many cases (even very complicated and very difficult cases) I can help to cure disease or at least to give a pain relief or prolonged remission.
