Lymphnodes and chest symptoms  (Read 654 times)

I have several enlarged painless lymph nodes. Started with one enlarged lymph node and then it kind of 'spread'. This started three years ago. A year ago I started developing other symptoms; pressure in upper chest, difficulty breathing when lying down, sometimes non-productive cough. I am constantly tired, I sleep more than before but I never feel rested. I almost pass out when I go for walks outside.
I have moved around over the past few years so I have actually ended up seeing five different doctors about this problem.
Doctor 1: It's probably mono. Tested for mono: Negative
Doctor 2: Says it's probably nothing serious but let's do FNAs and blood tests (blood tests: mild eosinophilia, slightly low hemoglobin). Never got to do FNAs as I was moving away but I was asked to get another doctor to look at it
Doctor 3: Says the enlarged lymph nodes are probably 'normal' for me. Will do chest x-rays if I develop chest symptoms as then it could be lymphoma. Test for mono again: negative
---A few months go by and I develop chest symptoms---
Doctor 4: Reflux? Probably not. Diagnosed with costochondritis... given ibuprofen
Doctor 5: Diagnosed with allergies and hyperreactive airways... given allergy pills and an inhaler

Still no relief. I feel like the doctors are just guessing and I should probably give up on this and just get on with my life but something just doesn't feel right.

This is just a suggestion and sounds like it would certainly not hurt to try.  Have your doctor check you for Lyme Disease.  Have them do what is called a Western Blot test.  It is highly accurate.  The regular blood test used to check for Lyme is a joke.  I have Lyme Disease and it has really messed me up.  I had a time too with doctors not knowing what was going on.  Lyme Disease is a nasty disease if it progesses in what they call the chronic stage.  Everyone has different symptoms.  Like I said, I would have it checked out.  Good Luck.
