Hello all and its nice to find this site, My story isn't really undiagnosed although i was for a long time, its more like untreated now lol
I began my horrible journey last year, will try to keep this quick. It started with feeling very worn down, then i started getting terrible cramps in my ribs. I went to see my GP and he said it was just down to being a new mother of twins, i didn't think so. Then the pain in my groin started it was only for a few hours at the end of each day but the pain was amazingly painful it made me unable to walk. So back to the doctor again this time he sends me to see a gasto doctor even though i tell him i am sure its not my tummy or bowls. Off for a camera in both ends :( everything came back ok and i was dismissed. By this time my pain in my groin was terrible and lasted most of the day. Only now i was also getting back ache and sciatica down my leg and all this with ago 1 twins to look after. so back to the doctors again this time begging him to help me! He refereed me to a gynecologist this time who did no tests just said i was ok! So off i go again to my doc, this time he sends me to a rheumatologist. Who does my examination and decides to do a xray of my pelvis and back. Over a month passed and i was really bad by now, i couldn't walk very well and was in a depressed state. Then i get a call out of the blue from the rheumatologist. He proceeded to tell me that I have a stress fracture in my femoral neck! The next doc i see a week later is a orthopedic surgeon who tells me that i am a very strange case as a 27 year old lady should not get a stress fracture like mine, especially as i am no fitness maniac and he didn't know what to do, so he took a mri scan and a dexa scan, put me on crutches and said to see me a month later! I go for my dexa scan and the nurse tells me that my bone density is -2.7! Ohh no thats bad i was thinking why could this happen. So back to the orthopedic surgeon, kind of feeling like a yo yo. He tells me that my hip is healing and i need to have physiotherapy. Few moths later and things just aren't getting better so off the my GP again, who now sends me to another orthopedic surgeon. He also takes a xray and tells me on the same day that my hip is still as broken as it ever was! so what about the other hospital telling me its healing grrr. Then its off for another mri scan and a week later i am back to see him. He says that my hip has not healed and that i would probably need a plate and pins, but as he also could not figure out how or why this is happened. He needed to get others views on my case. I saw this last doc 6 weeks ago now and have heard nothing back from him, i am feeling so sad why don't the docs want to help me. I have had a broken hip for a year now which is a nonunion. Life is wearing me down and really really tired now...
Thanks for listening xx
