hi everyone came across this site looking for answers to a undiagnosed illness for 2 and a bit years. started 2 years ago on a return trip from bali, what started out as a flu turned my whole life upside down. so i think i had the flu not so i sure had bad flu symptoms copious amounts of mucus which i throw up nauseous blocked fullness in ears aching face twitching face pain in jaw swollen puffy face, kinda like a blow fish, i also developed tremors in my face and hands and legs. also get pins and needles numbness in my feet legs and hands. sometimes feels like my whole face is going to explode with pressure. i cant concentrate most days all though theese symptoms come and go,and when they return always something new. thats just a little bit about me hoping joinning this site someone out there might have some leeds for me to follow.

cheers faye

hi samantha, thanks for reading my story i no i kept it breif but it is a pretty long story. i have had every test under the sun including 100s of blood tests ct scans of my whole body over and over, mri of my head brain and the only thing to come out of that is i have acyst on my penial gland which they say is not causing my symptoms. been to ents, tropical disease specialists, immunoligists, regular specialists and the clostest i have got is the disease dr saying i had encephalitis from a unidentified agent, i suppose they dont no everything and they can only test for so much. i am seeing a neurolgist on 6 april so maybe he will have some answers. i have just finished readind new commer chris,s story except i never used cocaine but besides that our symptoms are exact. i live in perth australia and i have to say i have given up hope really on the doctors, specialists here they like to tell you that you have depression or they just look at you when you tell them your symptoms like your makin it up or its all in your head. i will continue to watch this space just incase someone comes up with something cheers from perth faye

Faye so true with the Doctors  Sad I guess depression comes from the pain so they assume medication will fix the problem..I've been there and found it hard to control my temper  aggressive I've no respect for Doctors (maybe one or two) and although I'd never wish this pain and suffering on anyone, sometimes I wish the treating Doctors suffer something similar so they know how we feel  Cry

I hope your appointment in April brings about some hope  Smile Keep me posted I'll be thinking of you
