Environmental Illness (EI) or Multiple Chemical Sensitivities.... does anyone on this forum have it besides me?   We can share information if so.   EI/MCS means your system reacts to everyday substances that normally cause people no problems, and not just the usual "allergy" symptoms but any kind.  It's usually strong chemicals we're talking about but it could be anything.   In my case, petrochemicals are the worst and the reactions are neurological.

I'm not just explaining EI here, but trying to find out who here is an EI patient.

I have MCS, usually to strong smells. Even my dog wearing too much deoderant gets me started. My eyes get red, puffy and watery and I start sneezing and feeling sick(which isn't a delightful combination).
I'm teaching Horse to refuse to go in small cramped spaces like lifts if someone has marinated in perfume or something.

When I need to go out and I don't have time to wash him and he smells a bit 'doggy', I have strawberry scented deoderant for him.
I can't get away with using it more then once or he starts to smell pongy and the red watery eyes start to itch.
