When all else fails, play dead!

What is there for testing this that you can get without needing a doctor?
No doctor will come near me, and I'm a bit worried about my body not absorbing fat, what else I'm missing.

I know here in the states you can go online and order glucose tests with ACTH but its expensive. Another thing you can do to test your blood glucose is just go out and buy a meter, thats what I did. I went to walmart and bought one for 20 bucks and then you just need to buy the testing strips. I had suspected hypoglycemia so I called a ER nurse who told me to check the blood sugar once upon waking up in the morning, before each meal and then before bed, keep a log with times and what meals were ate after. etc..
Hope this helps!

The monitor I'm getting keeps it's own log of times dates and tests. What are the testing strips? Do you use a new strip each time?
All this stufff'll probably come in the manual, but who reads those things?

The testing strips should be located right near the monitors, and yes you need a new strip each time you test it as you throw it away afterward. Honestly the testing strips are the more expensive purchase of the kit but shop around to see what you can find.

Do the monitors just check blood sugar levels or can you set them to check other stuff? A vitamin e monitor'd be useful...
