Told You It Was Not All In My Head!

« on: July 19, 2009, 06:02:42 PM »

Just spent several hours in the ER, thought I had appendicitis - ruptured ovarian cyst. Not my idea of a good time =(

I dont think it was her appendix that ruptured Sammy it says that it was her ovary that ruptured in the beggining post... either  way no fun.  Huge Hug

Nope, not appendix - its my ovary - the one right there by my appendix. I went back to the ER and had the absolute worst experience with a doctor I have ever had. 103 fever, severe right side abdominal pain, constant vomiting, and the beginnings of shock. The doctor said I was "just stressed" and refused treatment. I am so pissed off =(

Ovarian cyst I mean, not the ovary itself.

I was going to say "Ruptured Ovary" never heard of it  Confused but ruptured cyst yep I've had a few of them and the same as you rushed to emergency and given panadol (very mild over the counter pain pill ) which was useless.

Are you looking for a new Doctor ?
I hope your feeling better

I have an internal meds doc I am seeing for now. I will be searching for a new family doc as soon as I am able. Went back to the ER today - AGAIN - with a fever of 100 F constant vomiting, and stomach pain - and clogged sinuses on my right side and what do ya know - I HAVE PNEUMONIA! And they said I have probably had it for months.  Cry Huge Hug

The previous fluid is gone, but yeah that was probably the start of it they said. This heat is AWFUL. We have no AC, so we have fans going like crazy in the house. It makes it bearable. I wish it would rain! The worst part is I have a secondary sinus infection and that hurts worse than the stupid pneumonia.  Huge Hug Huge Hug Huge Hug They saidf I should be better in about 10 days, but that I likely have had it for months >< Huge Hug Huge Hug Huge Hug Huge Hug Huge Hug
