First of all, thank you for this website.  I just had the idea but you beet me to it Smile
Here's my story...
6/5 - eyes rolled into back of my head, lost ability to use left and right arm, left side of face fell, spent three days in hospital and was discharged with "atypical migraine"
6/8 - saw GP, still couldn't walk/talk well and couldn't use left hand.  Found out that chest echo showed bicuspid aortic valve and three leaky heart valves, with pulmonary hypertension, referred to neuro, cardiologist, and pulmonary hypertension specialist
6/18 - Trans esophogeal echo confirmed bicuspid aortic valve with mild leakage but cardiologist didn't think it was severe enough to cause the problems I had, suspected TIA but found no hole in my heart to explain
6/19 - Neurologist ordered EEG to check for seizure activity
6/25 - went to PH specialist, my oxygen sats fell from 99 to 80 after 30 seconds of walking at a leisurely pace, was given oxygen tank for remainder of test and the sats didn't go above 88.  Pulmonologist suspected PH and ordered a right heart cath to confirm, a CT and VQ scan to see if I had a pulmonary embolism and prescribed oxygen to wear constantly
6/30 - tests negative for pulmonary embolism
7/7 - tests negative for pulmonary hypertension

Have sleep study ordered for tomorrow night and a brain and kidney scan to see if another area of my body is blocking oxygenated blood flow.  Very tired and still have mild lingering stroke symptoms.  If anyone has any ideas/insight it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for listening!

wow you have had a tough 6 weeks! but you made it to the right place! where you need to be is here. We are full of support and even suggestions. We all help eachother out.
Have you had an MRI of the brain and spine with contrast to rule out a stroke in the brain???

I too just had a sleep study done last month where I learned I have sleep apnea. Currently on CPAP therapy. I cant say I like it much nor can I say that I did ok at the sleep study. The sleep study for me was miserable but for most its not that bad and so I hope you are one of those! good luck tonight and keep us posted!!

awww trust me I understand! I had a horrible nights sleep during the sleep study and felt like complete crap the next day Soooo I came home that day and slept ALLL day to catch up on my awful sleep that I did not get the night before.

I am glad your getting the scan of the brain. MRI's without contrast miss things... you would know if you got contrast or not as well because the inject the dye into your arm via a needle.

I hope you feel better and keep us posted on what happens!

alohami31 I know it doesn't seem significant at the moment but thank your lucky stars they are at least doing further testing and not telling you to "Go Away nothing wrong"

I'm praying these latest results show something, the Mayo Clinic sounds promising  Smile
Keep us posted
