Ok SOOO... my gyno did call me! but my ultrasound was normal as well. I knew that though as she did as well. She told me I could get perscription strength advil if I needed it however she again brought up the endo. She said "we could do that but is a minor surgical procedure.. so its up to you" I told her I was gettng my umbilical hernia repaired at the end of july. She suggested we do it all at the same time BUT the hospital I am going to my gyno does not have the rights to. Sooooo she suggested that I talk to my surgeon about getting a gyno from that hospital to get a scope in there since the incision is pretty much the same for the lapro and then she also said she would be hesitant to a lapra AFTER the hernia surgery since its located at my belly button and I guess this is where the incision goes as well for the lapra, like I stated before.
She did say my surgeon may say no to the whole thing. In that case.... should I get the laprascopy done first then??? so that would mean in a matter of like 10 days I would have a colonoscopy...laprascopy and hernia surgery in a matter of mere days. *sigh* I really really REALLY hope my surgeon can agree on getting a gyno in with a scope that day it would save me a lot of time and my sanity. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I am going to call my surgeon tomorrow about it.

I would think finding a Gyno in the same hospital as the hernia surgeon, have them both done at the same time. Colonscopy is very simple procedure in and out in a few hours so I'm thinking you'll manage  Wink
Let me know what the surgeon says about finding someone to do the Lap for you
Fingers crossed they agree to do it  Big Grin

On the bloating part, I'm really not sure how much you can gain in x amount of days as I've not weighed myself that often to realise what the difference would be, but it does sound like a lot in a very short period...hhhmmmmm another thing to worry about  Sad

I'm happy your Gyno still agrees on the Endo part despite the ultrasound being clear, that's terrific

When all else fails, play dead!

I had a pap when I was 3 months pregnant, I was soo normal...

Hehehe! I look constantly 4 months pregnant. My mum's accused me of being pregnant, but since my implant's been removed, I haven't had the body fat for a period.
Gaining so much water weight in such a short time's what concerns me...

I was very bloated back then and did look pregnant BUT.. ( the complaint I have and was having (way before I fell pregnant too)
is:

For my symptoms it's not a bloating feeling as such..(although is does look like it only a very hard abdomen, a lumpy thick one, it's not rolls of fat, its like a hard basketball) very hard to describe it's like I feel my intestines, the layers above so muscle, tendons nerves etc are all 10 times thicker then they should be with alot of tiny pea shaped lumps, all of it is painful, the extra layers are so very tender and the pea shaped lumps are like the feeling you get if you hit a nerve (if you've every experienced nerve sensitivity on a tooth/teeth) that's how I feel from rib cage to just above navel.

So while I did have the bloating on top which is related to the food I ate, endo and IBS it's different then the normal bloating people experience. The reason I'm still keen to pursue the Dercums Disease Theory  Big Grin

I am getting kind of nervous and don't know what to do. I am having second thoughts. I unfortunately I have read some endo forums and there are a few stories of women getting laps done and they find nothing and lap found normal only to be seen by a specialist in endo years later who found endo in places where the suposed endo gyno's did not look or the endo was in stage one so it was not recognized by the gyno who did the lap. I am afraid of being opened up and them missing something so it would come up normal. That would DEFINATELY happen to me. I want to find a specialist in this feild but cant seem to. Ughh... I don't know what to do.

I have another army wife freind who is dealing with alot of infertility issues right now due to endo, she told me that she didn't think that the hospital would have someone do my surgery that I have not seen before... soooo... I have a GP appt on July 1st. I am going to ask him what I should do. Heck I mean my GP and gyno are in the same medical building. He should be able to help me out with something. He has so far be scheduling my procedures and surgeries etc himself so.. I am just gonna ask him and see what he says.

Kristin from what I've been told over the years and read about.........(although I could be wrong so don't quote me on this  Smile )

A Gyno makes the incision below the navel and searches in those female areas....while a general surgeon (others too but not sure on the type of specialist, for eg: Gasto) they make the incision above the navel, which would look at your liver, kidney, spleen, gallbladder etc

You may have to have two Laparoscopies ...as each specialize in difference areas, therefore only make the one incision.
If your Gyno doesn't find anything below, perhaps ask your General Doctor how you can go about Exploratory surgery with a general surgeon which hopefully will look at the areas above the navel

Sorry it does gets confusing and I'm really unsure of how your Medical System works, so just some ideas for you
Basically.........If a Gyno only specializes in that area then that's all they will look at during the surgery
yet if they specialized in both fields..say Gyno and Gastro they would have the qualifications to perform incision up and below

Don't stress, you'll get there eventually  Smile think positive

You are right, The laparoscopy might find nothing, mine didn't, (well apart from stuff they weren't looking for), but it is an easy little op, so there is no harm having a go. (Famous last words).
My doctors seem to like to wait 3 weeks before going back in through the naval. They weren't worried either, after the one where my belly button incision got infected.
Personally i would definately try and get both the hernia and the laparoscopy done together, failing that, i'd try and get the lap done first, only because i'd presume you'd be quite sore after the hernia op.
The colonoscopy is easy peasy. You shouldn't have any problems with that.

My GP today gave me a copy of my ultrasound report. Appearently my left ovary is missing, no wonder I only get pain in the right ovary area becuase my left appears to be.. well not there.
At first during the ultrasound I remember they were having a hard time finding the left ovary so they told me to empty my bladder. Even after that they could not locate the left ovary, then they tried transvaginally for a long time. Still no left ovary was found. My GP said it could be missing or it could have shrivled! what the heck?! is that normal?????

Sorry Kristin I've not heard about a missing ovary before  Confused did your Gyno not explain why this can happen? Have you got another follow up appointment ?

I remember reading once about ovaries kinda of disappearing, but i'm afraid i didn't take much notice (and it was years ago).

It doesn't make much difference does it, don't people have them removed a lot on one side only?  I have no clue, and i can't trust my memory.

What's the point in removing one ovary? It doesn't mean you can onlyy get pregnant every 2nd month, they don't alternate like that. Statistically, you have 50% chance of getting pregnant as compared to when you had 2, it doesn't mean it can't happen.
Maybe it's to reduce the chance of tumors, but that doesn't make sense either.

Yeah i think something happened. When they talked about the cyst on mine i remember them saying there was no damage to the ovary, so maybe sometimes there is...dunno... I never know, lol.
