When is your colonoscopy Jenny?? did you get the results of the endoscopy biopsy yet??

im an idiot.. I just saw its on the 26th, let us know how it goes for you! will be thinking of you! my colonoscopy is on July 20th. Not looking forward to the colon cleansing part of it the two days prior..   aggressive Good luck!! let me know how it  all goes

Yeahh I just took 2 ducolax tablets.. getting ready for prep tomorow!

I've taken ducolax before..omg OMG does it ever WORK!
But I have to mix this powder (Pico-Salax) and it's suppose to be a purgerative? I'll let you know how well this works..

I can't eat anything tomorow but it's ok..I have a large stock of gatorade ready. I forgot to get jello today shoot!

On the bright side, at least we're gonna lose a few pounds in the process haha!

yeah not really looking forward to that day before prep... you have to basically be on an all liquid diet the day before right??? Thats what I think my instructions said... i think. Good luck to you on Friday too! keep us updated!

Hey guys, got back from the colonoscopy!

It was faster than I thought! And they gave me pictures of things the doc found...YES he FOUND something!
 OK, so heres the full word-for-word findings:

"Nodular mucosa was found in the ileum. It seems a little excessive for lymphoid hyperplasia and the mucosa was firm to biopsy. Several samples were taken. There were no polyps or diverticula in the colon. Biopsies were taken from the right colon to rule out collagenous colitis."

Well, actually, there was more to the findings but they were considered "normal" so I just cut those part out. I only put in what he found was abnormal.

I searched nodular mucosa and lumphoid hyperplasia on the internet..not alot of information on these..boo

Well anyways, the colonoscopy was more pleasant than the endoscopy (btw, biopsies from endoscopy was normal)

I'm gonna go search these now!

Did they give any clues on what can happen now Question  treatments etc, or did they say wait until your next visit to the Doctor??

I Will Be Diagnosed !
First search I've found:

Mucosa -Mucus-secreting membrane lining all body cavities or passages that communicate with the exterior.

Nodular -Characterized by bumps or papules (a fancy word for 'bumps').

Nodular mucosa some of the the lining of the very lowest part of the colon, around the anus, has observable bumps.


Ileum
The ileum is the final section of the small intestine

Lymphoid Hyperplasia : is the rapid growth proliferation of normal cells that resemble lymph tissue

Interesting notes:
It is one common source of appendicitis, as it may cause an obstruction of the appendiceal lumen, resulting in the subsequent filling of the appendix with mucus, causing it to distend and internal pressure to increase.

Thanks Sammy! Unfortunately, I only found the same information as you did.. I'm planning on calling my gastro to ask some questions about this.
