I just got a call from my gastro, and they said my tests for celiac disease was high!!
Dance Dance Dance Dance Dance

Well, the diagnosis is not 100% sure, but they booked the closest appointment for an edoscopy (which WILL confirm 100% whether or not I have celiac) !!
The endoscopy is this friday!

This actually explains so much...all my symptoms: fatigue, chronic diarrhea, depression, etc!
My gut instinct ALWAYS pointed to my small intestine! I KNEW IT!!!
OMG a gluten-free diet is gonna be HARD (I eat rice everyday)
but if it IS celiac disease...I can FINALLY get on with my life...GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Told You It Was Not All In My Head!

As much as I do not want you to be sick, I also want you to have a diagnosis! Let us know what happens!

That is awsome Jenny! I was gonna ask how the colonoscopy went.. or have you had it yet? is that where your celiac sprue was high?? an endoscopy will confirm it with a biopsy of the start of the small intestine. That is awsome. So exciting.. I thought for sure I had celiac disease for awhile but then realized that my celiac sprue biopsy was negative. Oh well. You would be suprised how many things are made with gluten... HOWEVER more and more products are being made gluten free. So it maybe challenging but you will feel so much better.

This is great news!  Dance  Big Grin

There are some great gluten-free cookbooks and products out now. Try the library. My SIL has to have a gluten free diet. The foods seem to have a slightly different texture, but it's not horrid or anything.

Thanks Cathie  Smile, but the biopsies from the endoscopy concluded that I do not have celiac disease

Sammy, you can delete this from the "Recently Diagnosed" section..
