Told You It Was Not All In My Head!

MRSA is bad because I am allergic to SOOOOO many antibiotics that it is difficult to treat even in the best of circumstances. Since it's in my blood, I can go septic very easily. It kills =( No, I do not think I am going to die =) At worst I will be in the hospital with an IV full of antibiotics.

My migraine is so bad that I have given up  on the keeping dark thing. Its been over two weeks. Nothing is making it better, and nothing is really making it worse. I am not spening 8+ hours a day online like I usually do - just cooming on here and facebook and thats pretty much it. Other than that I am in bed with the lights off wishing I had some relief. Tried nookie last night (was our 12th anniversary) but that did not help either.

Anyways, tomorrow is the appt with the new doc. I cant wait to see her!

Well, it happened - one of the things I was afraid of. I have lost vision in my right eye completely. I am not yet freaking out cause it could be the migraine, but it's lasting a bit long. So we shall see what the doc says tomorrow. Even if it is not the migraine it may be reversable depending on what it is.

Tomorrow needs to hurry up.

yay new symptom!

Bruises that will not go away. I have 5 of them from my hospital stay with pneumonia in aug and they just will not go away AT ALL. They are all from IV sticks. 1 of  them still looks fresh. Dr R. mentioned it the other day, but did not say why. I looked it up and it happens with some forms of vasculitis (inflammation of the blood vessels) which is strongly suspected as part of my hopefully soon to be diagnosis.

When all else fails, play dead!

It also happens when the blood can't clot, I forget the name of it. There are also people who take an extraordinarily long time to heal.

I have NO idea what my clotting factor is like. I know she is testing that too. Normally my bruises heal in just a week or so....so this is definately new.

Oh my kelia!! :give_rose
my deepest sympathy for all that you are going through right now!! Mrsa can be very tough. Hopefully that will not be your diagnosis!! So many of the same symptoms that i have had over very many years.. I wish you would pick up some potassium supplements and take about 3 or four of them and see if your headache clears muscle pain lessens head clears stomach relaxes.. these supplements only cost about 9 10 dollars a bottle..the worst that will happen is some diarhea..four tabs equals about 400mgs..for me with a severe deficiency i take about 2400 mgs a day or 24 tabs..my daughter takes 3 four times a day and it helps her very much..Certain meds can tend to wash potassium out of your system for example steroids can affect the level in a normal person..as can alcohol..Have you ever read up on cushings and or psuedo cushings kelia? symptoms very similar to pecos..i have much of the same symptoms myself and i find that cushingoid symptoms are common amongst persons with hypokalemia paralysis.. if you take a few potassium tabs and feel slightly better consider taking 3 more in about 45 minutes.. that was what clinched the diagnosis for me..it is a rare condition but it is real.. none of my doctors over the course of twenty five years diagnosed me..you do not not have to severely low potassium to have this condition..some persons have normal and some have high levels of potassium the only way to diagnose fluctuations is to do a potassium draw while weak or experiencing severe symptoms.. good luck kelia

IMportant to note kelia if you take three tabs and suddenly feel worse eat something sweet or drink some juice or coke as insulin release with quickly bring your potassium level and you will feel better.. if this happens it is indicative of hyperkalemia partial paralysis.. Ergo will still help in your diagnosis..

karen

since i have hypo or low potassium problems i have to avoid sugar or simple starches as the insulin will also lower my potassium to dangerous levels and possibly trigger arrythmias.

Soooo I have a high sed rate and a relly high c reactive protein. All these indicate is inflammation. New doc put me on broad spectrum antibiotics to see if that clears it up cause my white blood cells are high too - regardless of the fact that I have been on antibiotics for quite awhile now. We shall see!

Trancy -

Oh yes I have been on higher doses of b 6 and b 12 for awhile now. I do not have muscle pain, but it helps a lot with my fatigue. And just generally feeling better.

Yup I agree. While my concentration still sucks, it helps a LOT with depression and anxiety.

How are you?
Is there any change in your health issues?

What about your eyes?
