Told You It Was Not All In My Head!

Sorry for the multiple posts...I put a more general topic on this one so I can put them all here.

When I woke up today, something happened that never has before. My entire body (joints) we are just feeling like they were on fire. I have gotten the burning pain before, but not this bad and not total body. It was agony. I would say a 9 on the pain scale. I lie there crying and begging for pain relief. My husband helped me up and I "walked it off". It did not go away, but subsided some. I think the pain actually woke me up. Usually nothing wakes me from my prescription drug induced sleep. I took the vicoprofen, knowing it wouldn't help the pain, but it does help me not care so much. (lets hear it for being high =( )

The pain used to be evenly symmetrical. Now its getting worse on my right side, along with the muscle weakness on my right side. If I wake up like that again, you can be sure an ambulance will be coming to my house if my husband is at work or whatever. Even recovering from my c-sections was not that bad. I am scared I will be in a wheelchair soon.

Also, all day today, for no apparent reason, my hands itch. Just the tops of them.

Yeah I feel like i am just crashing. I am scared I will either end up in the hospital (good thing) or end up in a wheelchair soon (not so good).

Last night I had to change channels on the remote with my left hand - which is difficult since I am right handed. I am headed that way today too, I can tell. My right side is in pain, a lot, getting worse as the day goes on.
 Aaarggh

Today I actually did not wake in pain.  Dance However, as soon as I got my coffee and sat down, the pain came rushing in. Not as bad as it was a couple days ago, byt my right side hurts a lot. Also sucks trying to go potty - at any time - sitting and then getting back up is getting VERY difficult because of my knees  Cry

I am calling my doc tomorrow (they are closed today for Memorial Day) and going to be very  aggressive about treatment and getting my medical records. I cant stay like this! :sick018 Aaarggh

Oh my, I am much, much worse. My right side , I can move it, I have the ability, but the pain is so bad, I have spent most of today in bed. Also, I noticed, when I sit down, my right knee creaks - sounds like a creaky door. This isnt sounding good.  Confused

I am not sure, but it sounds to me like this pain may be associated with some kind of arthritis.  Cry

When all else fails, play dead!

Meh!
Being in a wheelchair's not so bad, it does get frustrating. People tend to patronise you, a woman was seriously shocked that I carried 2kgs of bones in a plastic bag in my hand...I lump 20kgs around at home on my shoulder!!

Learning to drive a wheelchair's fun. With a car, you keep 2 hands on the wheel. With a wheelchair, you drive with one hand, and the 1 second delay works only for brakes, no steering delay unless you have an interfereing OT. For electric chairs, you'll be funded for at least 1/2 the cost. The wheels/tyres are the user's responsibility(If you hit the same problems I have, a bike shop can order them fairly cheaply)

My fear is I wouldnt be able to get around in my apt, its so small, and I know we would have to move cause there are no wheelchair ramps to the second floor =( And I love where we live   - and our credit is bad so we wouldnt be able to find a place very easily.

My knee is creaking even louder this morning. Yuck. I am already using my cane again (I used to use it when I fell down all the time around 2005 - 2006).

Other than that, I would be fine with a wheelchair.  Huge Hug Huge Hug Huge Hug
