So I have supposedly had IBS for like 13 years now but NEVER.. I repeat never noticed any mucus in my stool until today. This maybe tmi for some but ehh...
a huge string and clump of mucus came out today with my stool. I have never seen that before. I read its common for IBS but if its so common then why is this the first time I am seeing it in 13 years? my intestines are pretty gurgly today.. but they usually are. So I don't know. I have had some diarrhea lately. ugh. This is annoying.

It's never too much info  Big Grin  Wink

Mucus is very typical of IBS, can come and go depending on what you eat, medications etc. Odd that it hasn't happened over the past 13yrs. Your bowel is in distress. calling out for HELP !.....have you been eating anything different or started a new medication/supplement?
