Good for you in making the move to finally GIVE UP  Big Grin How many years have you been smoking?  and how many days smoke free are you ?

I was on 40 smokes a day, hoped I would quit when I fell pregnant but will power is not working, but I am down to 10 per day and hoping to quit soon.

I smoked through all three of my pregnancies. I have been smoking for 18 years. Tried to quit cold turkey several times, to no avail. I am now almost 48 hours smoke free. Today is harder than yesterday. My husband says after three days I will be better.

Keep at it, so proud of you  Dance Dance

My mum and dad gave up after 40 years of smoking, then my older sister, so now it's my turn. They all had help with the medication Champix, will power didin't work, but at least they are non smokers now.

Have you thought of asking your Doctor for some medications to help ?

How many smokes do you need to get hooked on this stuff?

I just started smoking this summer (I know, I know..BAD!) but I don't think I'm addicted to it so far.. it still tastes bad to me..
My friend told me smoking helped him to deal with depression, so thats why I considered it.  Confused

Oh and do you get headaches after you smoke? Cause I'm getting really bad headaches..

Jenny, PLEASE stop now while you still can. I can tell you from experience it does NOT help with depression. It does NOT NOT NOT.

I wanted Chantrix, but having PTSD, major depression, and bipolar 2, I am not a good candidate, since I have been suicidal at times. Apparently it makes that worse. So I am on Nicoderm CQ. That helps with the nic fits, but not in the fact that I want to be smoking =(

How's it going Keilia Question still smoke free  Wink

I wish I could quit, especially now I'm pregnant  Violent I'm down to 10-15 a day but why o why can't I just quit  aggressive
Hard part now is I can't ask for stop smoking medications while pregnant....which I think would really help and success rate of quitting would be higher.....

No, I am back smoking =( *cry*. Thing is, as soon as I quit, my migraine went away. Thats odd....I will quit again! I will!

I smoked through all 3 of my pregnancies, and my kids are fine...so do not beat yourself up about not being able to quit. Is odd, I was able to not smoke while I breastfed for four months, though.

Just wanted to add..........
I feel so so guilty smoking while pregnant  aggressive research (although not an excuse to not give up, I know I need help to quit) but in saying that while I'm pregnant I can't take any Stop Smoking Meds (I want to take Champix, huge success giving up for my mum, dad, older sister and her hubby, and all smoked for many many years) but........

According to my research giving up cold turkey (if you can) while pregnant can cause alot of stress to the baby, If I'm feeling all these withdrawals it's very dangerous and I could miscarry (don't quote me on this just internet research). I know how bad the smoke/chemicals are.........

Sorry babbling, just down and frustrated for being so weak  aggressive
