Told You It Was Not All In My Head!

Hi,
I have been undiagnosed since 2006ish. I had already gone 10 years without a diagnosis until one doc found endometriosis and I had a partial hystorectomy in 2002.

In 2006, the following syptoms started - and no one has given me any diagnosis. Tests for MS and Lupus were negative.
Low grade fever – Every night for last few months (Oct 2008-present) As of April 2009 it is beginning to be all day, every day, low grade during day and higher at night.
Dizziness – last few days (Late April 2009) – present
Pins and needles – off and on last couple of weeks (April 2009)   - present – Has been very painful
Once on hand, once entire body. Previously has this as well on left side of body in 2006-2008
Slurred speech – 2006-2008, again last few weeks
Impaired thinking/confusion – 2006-present
Impaired memory – progressively worse, 2006 – present
Sensitivity to heat and cold, especially water – off and on 2006 – present
Joint pain – late April 2009. Progressively getting worse.
Wrists, knees, ankles, have progressed to finger joints
Feeling of burning on face – late April 2009 – present
Tremors – 2006-2007, began again April 2009
Clumsiness/falling down – 2006-2007, began again April 2009
Chest Pain – April 2009  - present – intermittent
Headaches – every night Jan 2009 – present
Cold hands and feet – 2006 – present
Rash on face that comes and goes – April 2009 – present
Intermittant flashes of light (April 2009 – present)

If anyone knows anything, I would be grateful.

Hey welcome to the forum!! you will find this is a great place where people finally relate to what you are going through. Sounds like you have been dealing with alot the past 3 years!! What specialists have you seen? what tests have been run??? I know how frustrating it all can be. I have had an array of tests done.. all normal. Still no diagnosis. I have however been diagnosed with IBS and Anxiety for as long as I can remember. I feel that is incorrect.
Again welcome to the forum!

I  have been though so many tests, I doubt I can remember them all. EMG, MRI's (many) the vision test that they use for MS, lumbar puncture, many, many blood tests (ANA is neg). All we have found out is that I have high cholesterol and low vitamin D. In Jan I had high blood sugar, but that is down to normal now.

I am on Zocor for high cholesterol, Vicodin for my joint pain (both starting today) Vitamin D supplement, Prozac for depression, Serequel for hallucinations and anxiety, Tegretol for Bipolar 2. Those all began March 18.

Thank god for my psych meds or I truely would be going nuts by now.

Hey I live in Washington too....

I too have had some many freaking tests that I don't even know what I have and havent done at this point. So I went ahead and started collected my own labs and files from doctors to keep for myself.

I too have so much joint pain recently.. mostly in my hips, knees and ankles and lower back. I am in some serious pain even as we speak.. its definately not fun but again remember your not alone here!!

Oh my gosh I am having that same pain. But also my fingers and foot bones are burning. Also the pins and needles have been REALLY bad. Not just teh asleep feeling, but really, really painful. Thank God for the vicodin, but its not helping all that much.

I have my labs from my yearly physical, and some from January from when my shrink in TX did some. I am calling my family doc on Monday to get my labs that they messed up on and re did. I am needing to take everything to my docs on May 12th.

Assuming, of course, that all the docs are non inundated with swine flu stuff. *crosses fingers*

Keilia you have many symptoms so it would be hard to figure it out.
Out of all these symptoms what really bothers you the most ? Sorry tough question but perhaps looking at one thing at a time might be the new path to take  Smile

Have you ever tried completely revamping your diet ??? might be a long shot but worth a try, gradually eliminating food groups.
Also have you ever had allergy testing done ??

Just some random thoughts that may or may not help

Yep, had allergy testing done. I am allergic to ragweed, penacillian, Ash Juniper trees, darvocet, clindimycin, morphine. Thats all I can think of at the moment. Lactose intolerance runs in my family so I tried eliminating that, but no difference. Not sure what else I can try? I am going now from a very unhealthy diet to eating very healthy cause of my high cholesterol and triglycetrides. Could that do it?

Oh yeah! I forgot about this - about two years ago I was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea, but no longer have it, for no particular reason. Just thought I would add this.

Wow you've got a few allergies going on there  Sad.. Allergy tests can't pick up everything so I guess eliminating and sticking with it for at least 6 months before you say "no difference" might be worth while.

There were a few things that came back normal (no allergy for me) but infact I tested these things later on and found I was annoyed by them. I've had dogs all my life and never been affected, but recently found the minute I pat them I start to itch, so despite the allergy tests clear I do infact have issues with it..

Anyway just a thought, you never know Keilia. Keep a food diary and be very strict (boring and a little bit of nuisance but worth it in the long run)

You'd be surprised what allergies can do to the body...I'm thinking high fever could very well be one of them. Considering the additives and preservatives in foods these days...

Hey it is something to try, and I will be happy to do it, no matter how tedious. Thank you for the info =) I will start tonight. I stayed off dairy for two years, with no difference, so I think I am safe there.
