Hello all. I have not posted in a bit, so I wanted to pop by and let you all know what the latest is with me.
I went to see my PCP on Monday. We have switched my meds again; I was taking 30mg of Morphine controlled relase every 12 hours. Now I am on Methadone 5mg every 12 hours. I did a lot of research into the medication, like usual. I am confident that this is a good idea.
The first couple days were hell. Felt like I was on no pain meds at all. The doc gave me some Percoset to get through it but d@mn... It is slowly starting to help, and I am hopeful that this will be a good change. I have Perkys I can take up to 2 a day if I need them for breakthrough pain.
I am doing okay from the surgery, which was two weeks ago; the wounds are closing well, and I can actually sit up or roll over without screaming now. Still a bit sore, but that is to be expected. At least I don't feel like I have been beaten with a crowbar from the inside anymore!
The plan is for me to go back to work on Monday. I think it will be okay. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it though. My boss just has to learn that I am not healthy and he needs to deal with it. I have my FMLA paperwork in and approved, so technically, he can't do much about it. His boss, Josh, however, is a jerk. His mom has Fibro, so you'd think he'd be more sympathetic, but instead Josh treating me like a liability. He keeps insinuating things like I should consider transferring departments, etc. Screw him. He'll have to fire me, and then I'll sue. I hope it doesn't go that route, but if it does, I am prepared to fight.
