I believe one of you were looking into it! But, it fits some of your symptoms!

There are several types of sarcoidosis.  It often goes undiagnosed for years in some folks. It more often affects women between the ages of 20 and 40.
There are a battery of tests to be performed in a effort to diagnose some with it. Most importantly Bronchoscopy. Its where they run a camera down thru your bronchial tubes to look for abnormalities.
Lots of symptoms. Including fatigue, loss of appetitie, sleeplessness, PAIN.

If any of you want me to go to the site and copy and paste for you, SPEAK UP!! Big Grin

I've had alot of the tests that should have picked it up by now. MRI's (chest, spine, head) plus X-ray of lungs and chest. And a heap of other tests, bloods, CT scans etc. So while I was hopeful (and will still consider shall speak with my Doctor, perhaps a specialist in this area is needed to diagnose correctly )

Thanks for sharing this info, there is still hope I guess  Smile

That Bronchoscopy basically cinches the diagnosis. Without it, a Doctor can not confirm. The only way the granulomas/cyst can be seen is by having this particular test.  Doc's need the other tests as well, its like part of the overall puzzle.

My Moms horrific pain came back in a HUGE wave friday morning!!  I found this about lung sarcoidosis, and have urged her to make appointment with her doctor.  I told her even "if" they perform the procedure and it shows "nothing" at least it is one thing she can rule out!!! Thumbs

Yeah that part made me think........maybe just maybe worthwhile.
I would need to find a specialist though, I've learnt along the way Doctors are good for colds/flu really and that's it. Must find the right doctor for this if I'm to get anywhere.

Thanks for all this help, much appreciated
Sammy

Sammy,
Doctors aren't good for colds/flu either. They're viruses, your body will get over it, and whatever you're doing at the time will get the credit.
