lol, well, i guess thats just the american medical system.  i didnt realize it was different there

"primary" means basically just that, the person you primarily go to, also sometimes known as an "internist".  all specialists report to them with their findings

my old one wasnt getting the job done so i changed primary's.  and a whole new round of specialists

Soo.. lol.... appointment today seemed more like a social call :P

lolsters...

i go in and told hiim how the specialist believes it is acquired porphyria, but the cause of it is unknown.  his reaction clearly showed i'm stretching his expertise.. he goes.. "it can be acquired?? from what?????" i'm like. ".. i dont know! you tell me!" then he had a very perplexed look on his face and had clearly run out of ideas. to which he replies.  "i want you to know i'm not giving up on you.  but i admit, i'm stumped. i've never seen anything like this"

so the rest of the appointment we got to talking about how religion is insane, how the dark ages screwed everything up.  how cool gladiators are, then something about start trek, i dont know how that happened.  lol.

no new tests or anything from him sadly.

Well Jas in my experience the usual is to be told "there is nothing wrong with you" on rare ocassions Doctors will say "I have no idea" which is good news in a small way.
On to the next specialist and go from there  Thumbs
