I went to the psychaitrist yesterday, and we are making changes to my meds. Off the Effexor. Since I am taking 3 - 75mg pills a day, for the next 3 days, I am to take 2, then for four days take 1 then the day I don't take any, I am to start the Prozac. First week I take 1 10mg pill per day, then move to two, then in 2 weeks go to 4 of them a day.

Also, the doc put me on Trazadone for sleep.

Of course you may ask... Big Grin
I have had my fair share of illnesses and some surgeries, and because of my Mom's illness, I look everything up for how to take it, and possible side effects.
But, I would recommend everyone have a bit of something in their tummy before taking "any" type of medication, one does not need to add yet another problem to their illness with something such as a bleeding ulcer, constant upset stomach or worse.
The only time one should take any meds on a empty stomach is if they are instructed to by the prescription itself or the doctor/nurse.

It also doesn't mean ya have to eat a 3 course meal either, just some toast or some crackers, just to have a little something in your tummy!!
