When all else fails, play dead!

I already knew that I have vitamin e deficiency, I had no idea it could be fixed. After 10 years of the oral vitamin e, I didn't know IV could fix it.

I have sort of defined myself by my disability, I haven't been able to walk unaided since I was a young teenager. It will blow me away, but I don't want to change who I am, and this will.

i.. i dont get it..

new, this isnt about changing who you are.  an illness shouldn't define who you are as a person.  you have an opportunity here to walk unaided, on your own two feet, independent of a wheel chair and a crutch.  free from disability and public housing.

you have such an opportunity here.

if you started IV vitamin E, it could all go away.  everything.. you could start a new life..

i know its scary.. but are you really going to pass this up?

Anyone want t a laugh?
I was told I'm borderline in vitamin d. I was told there's no test they do for vitamin e deficiency, and even if they could it'd be VERY expensive and medicare won't cover it.
I'm going to ask for a referral to MMC (Monash Medical Center - GRR!) and see what I can do with better then a GP, they'll also have my history there so I won't have to drag an entire filing cabinet there!
I've been told to take 2 tablets of vitamin d daily for 6 weeks and one a day after that.
Is vitamin d fat soluble? If so, it makes sense that vitamin e 'd be affected too.

So they did a blood test for your Vitamin D levels New?
Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin. I take this too New as I was in the low range..

Sacking this Doctor is a good idea, and definitely get a referral for a specialist at Monash, hopefully someone there will actually know about Vitamin E defeciancy and how to get this done without costing you too much
Be strong New I know hard this gets but you can do this

uhm. considering you know you are deficient in vitamin E, OBVIOUSLY THERE IS A TEST FOR IT.

what a joke, get rid of this doctor, dont ever go back there.  i do not approve.

I know there is a test for it, I've had this test many times, and my mum, dad, both of my sisters and my brother had to have the test too, to prove it's not genetically linked.
The vitamin D capsules are 1/4 the size of the vitamin e's I had, these go down without me even noticing!

J-son, why do you think I'm getting a referral? Even after checking the site she tried to tell me there's no test for it...That screamed that she's as much of a bullshit artist as my mother!

Both vitamins are fat soluble, so doesn't it make sense that if one is low, my other fat soluble vitamins might be off balance too?

New news...I've spent the last 3 days at the Caulfield Pet & Animal Expo...I enjoyed it this year, I hung around and scored heaps of freebies too! Kaos came on Friday and Sunday, Mishka did Saturday. Kaos loved it on sunday. For the first 90 mins I was the only person there, so I had to manage the entire stall, I ran over the poor dog's feet a few times, between selling food and hammocks, and putting mice in the display cage and running down to the rat cages to stop little kids poking their fingers in cages (There were quite a few warning signs up, but the parents just didn't notice or didn't care) When Jan got there, she did her own mouse management (well, they were her mice!) and the hammock end of the table, so I sat down at the end of the rat table, let Kaos off leash and drank my first kinda warm coffee (I made it on Saturday night in my travel thermos. Best cuppa I've had in quite a while!)
Kaos was very nervy on Friday, he didn't like anyone touching him. I changed his halti to the blackdog one I have and he was much more stable on Sunday, I think the blue nylon one's too short for his face so it kept sliding up under his eyes.

So, that was my weekend. Oh, I have to go to court and register my ex as an uninterested parent. I've sent him the forms to change Miranda to my surname 4 times in the last year, every time he says he's lost them or they haven't arrived or I didn't fill the forms out right. He hasn't visited her in the last 12 months either. He claims he's unemployed and he pays $12 per fortnight to support her.
