When all else fails, play dead!

They're such gorgeous animals, even when they grow up.

2 moved in here yesterday. A lady heard mewing from behind her washing machine. She shifted the machine and found a dead mum cat and the kittens. She gave the kittens to me because the RSPCA would just have euthanased the kittens. She had the vet check them out and discovered they're a boy and girl. They were severely underfed, but now have nice round tummies!
The black boy is Toby and the grey girl is Raincloud.
This pic is the top of my cat display cage. The yellow thing is the litter box. Rainy's hiding in the hammock!

I am a complete fool for my animals!!!  Too embarrassed to say how many I have, but they are a riot to watch, my oldest is 8 years old, her name is Florence, the youngest is 11 months her name is Addie.  They all are "fixed" and have their shots, and seem to be happy girls and boys and all get along (most of the time)!! Very Scared

Cute Pic New28!!!

You are such a good girl for giving them homes  Dance  Dance
Your right the pound would most likely put them to sleep, especially this time of year when unwanted Christmas gives are sent to the pound.
They look rather cosy, hammock lol strange where cats like to sleep  :crazy2

I wouldn't condemn a cat to live with me in this dark cavern, but one was around for awhile when I took refuge in someone's apartment in 1999/2000 in the strange urban suburb of Cicero Illinois.  Piper.   No longer with us.   She used to paw at the back of my head to remind me to do the throwing-bits-of-paper-up-in-the-air game in the corner of the room, where she'd jump up and try to catch them and nearly blow a gasket, she was so entertained.

They're still very small!
They were in the ferret cage when I got them because they were settling in. They're also threatened by my manual wheelchair, I don't like tiny fluffy things darting between my wheels for their own entertainment!
My big cats don't particularly approve of them, Prints'll stand there and spit at the fuzzies!

Here's a pic of my tabby fuzz, who are all now sleeping on the top of the cat tree in here. They were in the cage when they got here, it was a very hot day last Tuesday, they all needed close observation, and the boy was blind for a few hours after he got here, he couldn't find the litter tray.

They eat like horses!

It's kitten-season now, but until this lot are desexed and rehomed, I can't take any more.

Not that I know of.
National Desexing Network will fix the girls at $35 each, less then cost. The boys are $25 each. They're lifesavers during kitten season for people who rescue animals.

That's the program I was thinking of  Thumbs
But also Vets around my area on occasions offer a Free Desexing Month. If you keep an eye on the local paper you may just find one too.

I imagine it's nice having beings around who have no particular attitude toward your being in the wheelchair, one way or the other, except they probably are sympathetic sometimes.

I'm not trusting the RSPCA...I had a vet nurse remove Angel's stitches, for 2 1/2 years the poor girl carried an unremoved stitch. She went back for yearly exams and vaccinations too, I took her to Ruth (vet friend) who found it under the skin.

Noone I know does free desexings...
