I just got off the phone with the doc - tomorrow is the surgery. I am nervous y'all!
Tonight:
No food after midnight tonight, water only is okay until 7am tomorrow.
I am not to take my meds tomorrow morning, so I should take my meds late, like 11:30 instead of my normal 9:30 routine.
Tomorrow:
Check in is at 10:15am; surgery is scheduled for 11:20am.
I must have a driver to take me home – which I have covered, Papa is taking me and bringing me home.
I am to have someone stay with me for the first 24 hours after surgery in case anything goes badly.
Papa will stay with me for a bit through the afternoon, but I still need to figure out the evening and overnight schedule.
Recovery:
After the surgery is over, I will know more fully as to how long my recovery time will be, depending on what they do. So far, I should be okay to return to the office after March 9th, working from home after February 23rd when I feel that I am able to do so.
I'll let you all know more once I am home and able to do so.
