Welcome back!! I am glad you had a good time.

I stayed here, but spent time with friends. Best gift was the new camera I bought with the money Papa gave me. My friend Karen also gave me a very great hardback coffee table book called the Encyclpedia of Ireland.

I went to see Flogging Molly last night. The concert was great, the music phenominal as always. I ended up too far down in the crowd though, and when the mosh pit started I was in it! Not good... I got elbowed very hard in the lower belly and wanted to die, it took me 20 minutes to fight my way out of the crowd so I could go sit down and take some pain meds! Other than that, it was fun.

Tonight I am heading to a friends house for a small party. I get to see my friend Jay, whom I adore and do not get to see often as he lives like 3 hours from me and oir schedules are so very different. Maybe, with a little luck, I'll get my midnight kiss and next year will be better! I'm rather superstiious (I am Irish after all lol) and I didn't get my kiss last year, and I am convinced that has a lot to do with why lasy year was lousy!

Then I have theweekend to recover lol. I'll need it for sure!

Monday, I have to go down to HR and get the paperwork to set me up for short term disability for after the lapro. Doc said I could be back to work in a few days, but depending on what they find, I may be out several weeks as well. So... Better to fill out the paperwork and not need to use the disability then to need it and not be prepared, right? It doesn't count against you if you apply and don't use it. You don't get paind for 2 weeks, but after that you get 60% of your usual salary for up to 12 weeks. After that, the long term kicks in, also paying 60%. I hope to not need it but hey... I have a strict CYA policy!!

Welcome back everyone.  Christmas is perhaps the hardest day to get through, since it's exactly like every other day of struggling to find ways to get through all the minutes in this place except that on this day, I'm supposed to be happy.

I had some "substance" though even if I couldn't find any "cheer".   I got through Zeffirelli's "Jesus of Nazareth", then gave myself a weird experience by going straight into Python's "Life of Brian" right after, then "The Lion In Winter", one of my favorites of all time, about a very strange Christmas in 1183.
